Eugenie started playing tennis at the age of 5 in Westmount, where she grew up. She was a member of Tennis Canada’s National Training Centre in Montreal. She went to the elementary school, The Study, a private girls’ school. She moved to Florida at the age of 12 with her family and continued higher education at Fort Lauderdale. Eugenie was the coach for tennis by Nick Saviano until the age of 15, after which she returned to Montreal for training.
